Mail art by Annette Kesterson (San Francisco, California, USA)

Annette Kesterson’s first dumpster dive (figuratively speaking) turned up this instant Trashpo classic. Luckily for Annette and even moreso for us, her virgin foray into Trashpo was created for the Karnival of Trash exhibition. Thus, the piece is assured of a larger-than-usual audience and a place in mail art history, as I am convinced the Karnival is historic and significant. Here is a detail study:

Certainly we have seen textile and fabric used in Trashpo. But Annette Kesterson’s brilliant work opens new possibilities. The reverse side:

Many thanks to Annette Kesterson! Please, never “mellow”!
