Mail art by Alan Brignull (Colchester, Essex, UK)
An interesting archeology/anthropology theme has emerged in the already legendary and iconic Karnival of Trash exhibition. This wonderful piece by Alan Brignull in England is the latest addition.
Alan Brignull is not a member of DKULTUK nor is he identified with Trashpoets (although he is a highly regarded mail artist). But, of course, the Karnival of Trash embraces “Independents” or (as they are known to DKulters) “Normals.” Someone who is not a DKult member is a Normal. These wonderful representations of ceramic fragments can be viewed as Trashpo or possibly even ancient Trashpo Tablets. They are a great contribution to the show!
