Mail art by Keith Chambers aka Amalgamated Confusion (Anaheim, California, USA)
Lately Keith Chambers has been sending out postcards with cryptic messages. I am very pleased to have received one that I am sharing now. These pieces are short and action-oriented enough to suggest Fluxus event scores. They also possess those interesting language preoccupations that characterize the Chambers style and his affinities to Otherstream writing. I noted in a previous posting that I see strong affinities between Keith’s work and the work of the Otherstream writers. For more on the Otherstream, you can visit:
I am using this occasion to share another Amalgamated Confusion/Keith Chambers piece that I received much, much earlier but have not blogged until now. Sometimes these things happen. I apologize for the delay. At least the work is seeing, as they say, “the light of day” at long last.
Also included in the envelope was this piece that appears to be a painting cut-up, similar to Cheryl Penn’s legendary project where she cut up her paintings and mailed them to destinations around the globe.
And the reverse:
Many thanks to Keith Chambers/Amalgamated Confusion!
